I like a simple life. I'm happy with a slow morning playing on the floor with my baby boy, Oliver. I love a pre-rush hour sushi date night at our local Thai place (bonus if we're back home in our jammies by 7). And The Office has been my comfort show for as long as I can remember.
My husband, Roman, and I have always wanted to raise a few farm animals and we would describe ourselves as sometimes-mostly-kinda-crunchy. We have backyard chickens, I bake bread, and look for organic ingredients as often as I can, but I won't be giving up my large number one at Chick-fil-A anytime soon either.
And finally, of course- I am so passionate about photography. I have always been the picture taker in the family and found my joy in documenting wedding days. Now that I'm a mother, I've been shown a whole new perspective of the importance of photos. Documenting my pregnancy, the birth of my son, and our family as he grows has sparked a new passion within the art form that I've grown to love over the years. So whether it's at the altar or in the depths of the postpartum, I'm thrilled to document your most cherished memories.
Fun fact- I couldn't drink coffee until I had my son. My anxiety would go through the roof- but now, it's like my body said "you know what... you're gonna need this." But half of the joy comes from picking my mug of the day!
I saw Lord Huron in concert last year and it was amazzzzinnnggg! I almost always have a Lord Huron Spotify mix playing while hangin' out with my son Oliver or making dinner.
My poor husband has got to be tired of coming home to another room of the house completely torn apart and painted a new color he most definitely did not approve of.
Photo has been a part of my life since I was a junior in high school taking photography classes, so the love of photography has always been there- but when I photographed my first wedding in 2015, freshly graduated, it was a wild dream of mine to make it full time.
After years of working during the day and doing shoots at night and on the weekends, my husband Roman made it possible for me to quit my jobs and pursue photo full time. I've been full time with it since 2018, and it continues to bless us in so many ways.
Because of this small business, I've built some of my most beautiful friendships and have the luxury of spending most of my days taking care of my baby, which is what I dreamt for all those years ago!
Getting to be in the room during my clients most precious moments and turning it into a work of art that they can press 'play' on forever? There is really nothing better than my job!
