My first covid-19 wedding turned elopement- it was the sweetest.
When Cassie first contacted me she was planning a wedding. Not even 2 weeks later, we realized that might not be possible anymore. I have so many amazing couples this year who have had to face the same difficult decision, and I could not be more lucky to have the clients that I do. They’ve all been so positive and accommodating, starting with these two!
They decided to get married at the York County Courthouse amongst 10 of their closest family members. We celebrated afterward with an intimate session down at the beach for golden hour. My idea of a perfect evening! Can I also just mention… her bridal fit is amazing! Cowboy boots and a white blouse- that’s my kind of casual wedding attire.
Even though their plans were far from traditional, there were still tears shed. All weddings, big or small, seem to share the same emotion- so if you’re going through this tough decision now as well, just know that your elopement can still be as romantic and sentimental! Believe me, I know! I got married during covid-19 and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
Cassie & Brandon have decided to celebrate with a bigger group of friends and family this fall- I cannot wait! I love love loved spending time with them! Their entire family was down-to-earth and so encouraging during such an unprecedented situation. Getting to know a couple is one thing- but getting to know their family on the wedding day is one of my favorite parts of what I do. It’s these big, close-knit families that warm my heart and leave me with that post-wedding buzz… I could never recreate that feeling.
Enjoy my favorite images from this special day!! Congratulations again, you two!
