Alison & Wil are the kind of couple a wedding photographer meets and thinks, “Yes. These are my kind of people. I won the ideal client lottery!!” Of course, it’s always exciting when a potential client reaches out and has a dream wedding venue booked- hehem, Trump Winery(!!!). But getting to meet the couple in person and finding out that they are just down-to-earth, all around fun and kind people makes me so giddy to serve them in such a special way!!

After their stylish and chilly downtown Alexandria engagement session I could not wait to see how their wedding day played out. It did not disappoint! From the details in the beginning of the day, to the ceremony views, Alison & Wil’s wedding day was perfect. I mean, I’m a sucker for any way a couple can include their dog in their wedding day details. They absolutely delivered on that! They even had custom napkins made with notes they had written for each other when they had first gotten together. Like, in their own handwriting and everything. Such a cute way to add a unique and personalized touch to your wedding day!

Trump Winery set the scene beautifully in every aspect, but I would have to say my favorite moment and location of the day was the first look at the chapel. It was an unexpected, yet private and symbolic place for a first look, and completely stunning. Not to mention, it was a photographer’s lighting dream.
