Do you ever meet someone and just think, “these are my kind of people”? You meet and you immediately feel like you’ve already been friends? That’s how Audrey and James made me feel when I met them at their engagement session.
For me, engagement sessions have the potential to be more intimidating than a wedding day! It’s my time to prove myself to a couple that’s already invested in me. I want to serve them in a way that leaves them feeling excited and ready to work with me again. It is so important that not only do they love their gallery, but they also have a blast and feel comfortable in front of the camera! All the while, I have to look and feel professional, answer questions, and let my personality shine. The PRESSURE!
So when I roll up to an engagement session location 45 minutes early, preparing myself to show up as my absolute best self, I am DEFINITELY a little nervous! But after hanging out with Audrey and James for five minutes, I knew this was going to be a breeze. They were so. much. fun!!
They chose to have their engagement session at their wedding venue, The Kellam Estate, and it did not disappoint either. We got to tour it before we started, and let me tell you! This new venue nestled in Princess Anne is going to be a new local fav. The bridal suite in itself is enough reason to want to shoot there. Allllll the heart eyes!
Audrey and James had originally planned to get married this year on Halloween, but had to reschedule for next fall. I cannot wait to celebrate with them here when the time comes!
Enjoy this fun, carefree, romantic summertime engagement session!
