I have been photographing this family since I was just a little baby photographer!!
Augusta & Casey booked me first, Amanda’s cousin, and then the whole family just followed in their footsteps. I have a handful of clients like that, and it’s so so nice because it feels a lot less like a job and more like hanging out with friends.
Amanda and Matt wanted to document their engagement with their golden retriever pups by their side, so that’s exactly what we did. And of course, back to my favorite place to shoot in Yorktown for some golden hour grassy goodness! These photos are a sentiment to what the right timing for light and a flowy dress can do! I don’t care if we’re behind the Food Lion in the weeds- if the light is this good and the dress has some extra fabric to throw around, we’re good to go. I honestly drive around spotting amazing photo spots in medians and I always want to stop- lol! But Yorktown is just a vibe. And I’m not going to send my clients in the middle of a busy highway.
Anyways- shooting with Amanda and Matt was such a joy! It was a perfect 75 degree summer night and the puppers even cooperated for a few. 🙂
