Explaining My Rebrand

If you’re new here… so am I! Because I COMPLETELY rebranded! I even updated my business name.. what?!?! Okay, I am so excited about this rebrand. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a really long time, but I’ve been too scared to make the jump! That imposter syndrome is real! 

I usually do a website revamp every year- update the images, adjust my brand colors, add a little bit more of my personality & flare- but this time I went all in. 

Jamie Dunn Photography is now Jamie Eppig Photography & Education (!!!), and while we’re on this topic, I’ll let you in on an embarrassing little secret. As many of you know, Roman and I got married in 2020. My maiden name was Jamie Madelyn Dunn. I absolutely love my middle name. But I REALLY didn’t want to have to change my business name… it’s a whole thing. LOL. So I changed my name to Jamie Dunn Eppig. I literally based my name off of the fact that I wouldn’t have to change my logo and do a ton of paperwork. Well fast forward to 2022- I changed my business name to Jamie Eppig anyway. So it looks like Madelyn will be making a comeback in the near future. HAHAHA. 

Anyways, I am now officially offering photography education & mentoring along with elopement & wedding photography. I could not be more PUMPED. I started *very casually* offering mentoring last year, but I was so scared to feel like a fraud that I didn’t even advertise for it. I just discreetly added it to my website and hoped that people would find it. 

Why Education?

I ended up doing a mentor session with a client last year and freaking LOVEDDDD it. It was so much fun and I could have talked to her for hours. That’s when I realized I’m not a fraud- I’ve been doing this damn thing successfully for years, and I have so much to offer to aspiring photographers with a dream to go full time!!

I love teaching for the same reason I love photography. Offering a service that makes the world a better place is my favorite thing about being a service-based business. As a photographer, I get to capture the most important day of people’s lives and make it look exactly how they remembered it, but better. My art is going to be on people’s walls forever & passed down to their children & grandchildren. As an educator, I get to share how I do that with other passionate artists, so as a community, we get to grow together and offer an excellent service to more deserving couples all over the world. I hope to teach photographers that what they do is so much more important than what meets the eye.

So I hired a biz coach of my own and got started on the FULL rebrand. Became inspired to do a REAL launch. And now I’m officially pivoting into a new exciting season of a little bit of the old & a little bit of the new. 

So who is my ideal client?

-The nontraditional couple celebrating with an intimate ceremony.

-The adventurous couple excited to wed surrounded by nature.

-The down-to-earth couple who wants the big traditional wedding without the fuss.

-The hobbyist photographer wanting to turn their passion into a lucrative business.

-The successful couple/family/senior photographer wanting to jump head first into weddings or elopements.

-Any photographer looking to master their craft and positively impact the lives of others.

I truly cannot wait for you, whoever you are, to enjoy what I’ve been working on. I poured my heart and soul into this rebrand, and I hope you feel like you can get to know me a little better than before.
